Breath Of Life

Job 33:4

4 The Spirit of God has made me;

the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

How true it is that God made me and has sustained me through each year of life. As God originally breathed life into my lungs, and created me, each of us, in a unique way for breath to continue working through each lung keeping us alive.

Through many things in life that wear one’s body out, such as air impurities which we inhale, at times are lungs do not continue to work as smoothly as they are meant to.

In my case, I was diagnosed with a lung disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis, a few months ago, January 2019. The symptoms were, shortness of breath, consistent coughing, although not having a cold, and unusually tired, but having inconsistent sleep patterns. We had no idea that these were symptoms of PF, but after breathing tests, the Respiratory Specialist came up with this diagnosis, and after 18 blood tests confirmed it. At first visit, the Doctor told us I had PF as she looked at my finger nails. We are wonderfully, and strangely put together, that a lung disease can be noted by looking at finger nails.

Anyway, since I have this difficulty breathing at this time, the Doctor said it could have been going on for a number of years, and I thought the whole time it was only age catching up to me.

There is no medical cure for PF and apparently it gets progressively worse. So, back to Job 33:4. I am relying on Almighty God, our Lord Jesus Christ, my Saviour and Healer, to continue to breath His Breath of Life into my lungs. His breath is Pure and Strong, and will carry me through years yet.

I am seeking the Healing Touch of our Lord Jesus once again. And am asking all Believers in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, the Second Person of the Holy Triune God, the Son of God Who gave His Life for us, and was Resurrected on the Third day following His crucifixion, to join me in prayer, with expectations.

We serve a Healing, Miracle Working God.

Thank you. God Bless.

  1. Praying the Great Physician continue to pour His healing all over you, George! In Him we have our breath and being and He came that we might have life and life abundant. Asking the Lord to open up those lungs for you and to heal those scars. In the majestic name of Jesus we pray for George’s strength and good health. Amen.

My hubby also has a recently diagnosed lung disease. One thing that’s really good is pulmonary rehab and physical therapy. Listen to your doctor’s advice first of course, but often learning how to breath properly, how to conserve your energy, and how to exercise more to expand your lungs, really helps.

Definitely, my prayers are for your healing!
Years ago I was addicted to cigarettes and consumed a pack a day. I also was a chronic cannabis smoker. Once saved, the first things I trusted the Lord to heal were those habits. I had really enjoyed both sensations and wondered what possible alternative ’enjoyment’ God would offer. To my surprise, He challenged me to trust Him with the same faith I have for eternal life toward providing a remedy that would surpass my wildest expectations.
This actually resulted in holding a pencil (instead of a cigarette or joint) and inhaling as if I was smoking. As I did, the ‘feelings’ of my regular habit were briefly experienced, then surpassed with a new and ‘clean high’. The Lord honored my faith in such a ridiculous exercise every time I felt the urge to smoke. After only 4-5 repeated ‘sessions’, I was completely healed from both!
Since I’ve been free for 40+ years, there’s no doubting my miraculous deliverance. My hope for you is that you too take similar breaths of faith. Breathe in deeply the healing wind of God. May He continue to bless and prosper you!

Thank you MJ. I receive that, in Jesus Powerful Name. I too had a miraculous deliverance from smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, over 40 years ago, although I was a Christian. As I was driving back to work after lunch one day, I glanced in the rear view mirror, and as I often did, prayed for the Salvation of the driver, if he did not know Christ.
At that time, Holy Spirit said that I didn’t appear any different from any other person, so my witness is not strong. At that moment I was convicted that for me smoking was wrong.
When I arrived at the parking lot at work, I threw the almost full pack of cigarettes in the garbage can. The Lord delivered me completely, and removed any cravings from that point forward.
I am trusting Jesus for His Healing Touch, and His Healing Breath to fill my lungs.
He healed me from cancer in 2012, and from a stroke, with no after effects in 2017.
      Praise His Name.
He can heal my lungs, cleaning them out, or give me a new pair. He is All Capable, and I will take either way, as I wait expectantly.
      Thanks again MJ.
      God Bless.

Praise the Lord, we’ve experienced the goodness of God in several similar events! I too, completely recovered from a stroke in 2015 that had paralyzed my entire left side! I’m now as fit as I was @ 18!

Praying with out ceasing for your recovery.

Thank you Eric. Trusting Jesus, as only He is able to heal me, Doctors admit they cannot.
Jesus Christ brought me through colon cancer in 2012, and a stroke in 2017, so I continue to put complete trust in Him, as He works in and through each of our prayers.
