Is God Priority Number One In Life

““Therefore you shall love the LORD your God, and always keep His charge, His statutes, His precepts, and His commandments [it is your obligation to Him].”

‭‭DEUTERONOMY‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God keeps repeating these words to the Israelites because He knows how easy it is for them to slip into the culture of the environment they are going into. When in Egypt, they saw idol worship of every kind, and blended in to follow the people there. When Moses was on the mountain with God, the people begged Aaron for an idol, and he gave in to them.

God knows His people well, as God knows all.

How about the people of God today? Are we, as Christ followers beyond that??

Is God; is spending time with God; is seeking and doing the Will of God; the top priority in our lives?

In a busy society such as we live in, it is easy to allow a false god to step in front of our True, Triune God, without us realizing it, if we don’t keep our mind and focus on God.

These false gods that attempt to interrupt may be seemingly normal things or standard occurrences in life, such as: work, family, entertainment, ministry.

I know, many will say how can work, family, or even ministry become a god, they are important parts of life.

Well, anything that we put before God, becomes a false god, even good things, if we give them priority over our True Triune God, and spending time with Him.

Is more time spent on “social media” or reading the Word of God? Do we read and respond to emails and fb, before reading and responding to God’s Word? Are we “Doing things” for God, rather than spending time with God?

God calls us continually, and speaks in various ways, waiting for our response.

Keeping God as our Number One Priority, Pleases God, and we are Blessed.

God Bless.
