2 Kings 5:7
And when the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, “Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends word to me to cure a man of his leprosy? Only consider, and see how he is seeking a quarrel with me.”
The king of Israel, God’s Chosen people, did not have faith in God, and apparently did not know of Elisha, the Prophet in his midst, nor did he know of the power of God.But wait: how often do I act similarly? Yet, I have the Spirit of God within me. I have the Word of God, which tells me of miraculous acts of God in the past. The Word of God also tells me of miraculous works He has done through His servants on earth, and the Word of God tells me to ask Him, and He will still do miraculous, wondrous acts during these days, to give Him Glory.
“Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”
Isaiah 65:24 NIV
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
