When threats were made against the Apostles for serving Jesus Christ, and because they ministered in the Name of Jesus of Nazareth, seeing many healed, they prayed. In the prayer of the Apostles, they asked God for boldness, so they would continue to speak the Word of God boldly, as God reached out and healed many, performing signs and wonders, in the Name of Jesus.
God answered the prayers by filling each with Holy Spirit, and enabling them to continue to speak the Word of God boldly.
We Christians, as Followers of Jesus Christ, can, and will have that same power, when we call out to God, asking for boldness to serve Him, tell others of Jesus Christ, and minister in power, boldly. We will be filled with the same Holy Spirit as Peter and the others were, many years ago.
29 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness,
30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
