Willing To Sacrifice All

Genesis 22:11-12
11 But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”

12 He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

Imagine the thoughts running thru Abraham’s mind. His mind churning, i would guess that the enemy would be taunting him also. Yet, with all that going on, Abraham was listening, and heard the voice of God calling him.
Abraham was so tuned in to God, He believed God was going to work in this situation, but he did not know how. So when God called, and told Abraham not to hurt his son, Isaac, at all, Abraham was listening and heard God’s voice.

Whew! What a test this was. God knew all along what was happening, He knew Abraham’s response, so this was a witness to others of Abraham’s faith in God, and God’s Faithfulness.
When I, or any of us, have experienced a difficult God test in our lives, how was it handled?
Did we have unwavering faith, as Abraham had, knowing God was in control, and His plan is always best? Or, at times, in some tests, did we run around aimlessly, seeking a different solution, not believing what God had asked of us?

In one of those difficult situations, was our mind still fixed on Jesus Christ, knowing He is our Strength, knowing He was sacrificed for each of us, knowing that Jesus was with us, and had everything under control, all we had to do was listen, hear, be ready.
At all times, in every situation we come into, in this life, Jesus knows what is happening. We need to keep our Spiritual ears, eyes, focused on Jesus, listening and watching for what He will do.
God Bless.
