Genesis 1:1-31 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
1 Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.
6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.
9 And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.
10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.”
When God created the heavens and the earth, there was total darkness, apart from where He was. So on that first day of creation, God spoke the words and created light. Now, the sun, moon, and stars were not created until the fourth day, so this light was a God Light, a light which is from God and is pure light,
Jesus said He is the Light of the world, but we know that God did not speak Jesus into existence, because Jesus is God, is eternal, had no beginning, has no end.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
In the beginning, when God spoke Light into being, He separated darkness from light, because they cannot co-exist. This was done on the first day of the week.
When Jesus Christ was resurrected, following His crucifixion, it was the first day of the week. The Light of the world walked out of the tomb. Jesus Christ is the Light who shows us the way of life. When we accept Jesus as Saviour, He separates us from the darkness of our soul that we were born with, and lifts us into the Glorious Light of The Triune God, our Heavenly Father, Son, Holy Spirit, because Light and darkness cannot co-exist within our spirit.
Choosing to live for Christ needs to be a full time commitment, seeking His way and will in all areas of life. The Spirit of God encourages and guides us. The life He leads us in, is the best, most fulfilling life, glorifying God, serving God, and lasts eternally, forever. Praise Jesus.
