Speaking Life, At The Crossroads

Jeremiah 6:16The Lord said to his people:
“You are standing at the crossroads. So consider your path.

Ask where the old, reliable paths are.

Ask where the path is that leads to blessing and follow it.

If you do, you will find rest for your souls.”

But they said, “We will not follow it!”

Jeremiah lived around 585BC. Jeremiah spoke the above words to the people of his time. Under the influence of the Holy Spirit, it was recorded for us to read. Things have not changed much. Many people are at a crossroads in their life, not knowing which way to go.
Jeremiah was a man of God, with a boldness to speak to the people he knew about their lives, what they were doing, and the direction they were going. Many did not follow his advice, but he told them.
If we are a Born Again Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ, we have the Spirit of God within us, to give us boldness to speak. We have the Written Word of God, to instruct us, and show us all Truth.
We need to speak Powerful Truth, in Boldness and Love, as Jeremiah did, letting non Christ Followers know they have a choice to make. We have an obligation to tell them that there is a better, fulfilling way of Eternal Life to live.

We cannot force others to follow the Way, Truth, and Life of Jesus Christ, but we are instructed to go and make disciples, teaching what Jesus taught.

God’s Blessings.
