Re-Filling From The River Of Life To Be Overcomers

Re-Filling From The River Of Life To Be Overcomers
2 Kings 3:16-18

And he said, “Thus says the Lord, ‘I will make this dry streambed full of pools.’ For thus says the Lord, ‘You shall not see wind or rain, but that streambed shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink, you, your livestock, and your animals.’ This is a light thing in the sight of the Lord. He will also give the Moabites into your hand,

Has your life, Spiritual life, ever seemed dry? Have problems, challenges ever popped into life and suddenly, or gradually you felt like the River of Life has dried up in your life, and it is all like dry, parched ground in your spirit? We have all probably been there at some time in our Christian Life.
King Jehoram of Israel had a disagreement with the King of Moab, so he asked King Jehoshaphat of Judah, as well as the leader of Edom to join him in going against Moab.
These leaders with their armies, along with all their animals were marching for seven days, and ran out of water completely. They were by a stream bed that was completely dry, with not a drop of water.

Following discussion, they agreed to follow the suggestion of Jehoshaphat and go see Elisha, the man of God. It was only because of Jehoshaphat that Elisha would speak with them, and seek God on their behalf, because Elisha “had regard for Jehoshaphat”.

Elisha sought God, and God filled the stream bed with water, “without the benefit of rain or wind.” This was truly an act of God, as He can do all things.
Now, back to our lives, if we feel Spiritually dry, God is able, and He is willing to fill us directly. We will again be filled with the River of Living Water, our Lord Jesus, and the Spirit of Jesus. When we ask Him, He will respond. Or we can have others pray with us and for us, as Elisha prayed for the travelling armies.
In this passage of Scripture, we also read that God was going to give victory over the Moabites. In the same way, as we are again filled and rejuvenated with the Spirit of Jesus, He will give us Victory over the obstacles that had us stymied. Jesus will break down walls and barriers to set captives free. He will restore Joy, where there was sadness. He will give Peace, where there was turmoil, He will give Patience, where there was agitation. Where there is indifference, He will give Understanding. Where there is thoughtlessness, He will give Kindness. Where there is cruelty, He will give Goodness. Where there is disloyalty, He will give Faithfulness.
We have VICTORY in JESUS CHRIST, we are OVERCOMERS in JESUS CHRIST.
