“The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.”Psalm 34:22 ESV
This is a great promise in the Bible, God’s Written Word to all people.
Let’s have a look at that verse in reverse:
–there will be a condemnation of people
–those who take refuge in the Lord will not be condemned
–those who take refuge in the Lord are His servants
–the Lord redeems the life of His servants
We know ourselves, that none of us lives a sinless life, a life that is completely pleasing to God, and His Word also tells us that fact. We either serve the TRUE GOD, or a God of our choosing.
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 ESV
““No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Matthew 6:24 ESV
Since God cannot allow sin into His Holy Heaven, He provided a way for His creation, man, to be allowed in, the sacrifice of His sinless Son, Jesus the Christ.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 ESV
“And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” John 17:3 ESV
We just need to admit we are sinners, confess that fact to God, and repent.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”1 John 1:9 ESV
“I confess my iniquity; I am sorry for my sin.” Psalm 38:18 ESV
Once we confess our sin, we are instantly forgiven, and God will never speak them against us, or condemn us because of them.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 ESV
“The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.” Psalm 34:22 ESV
I am so glad I made the decision to surrender to Jesus Christ and follow Him many years ago.
Anybody and everybody can make this same decision, the offer is still open. Some day soon, when Jesus returns for those who repented and called on Him for salvation, it will be too late to make the choice to follow Him. Your choice will already have been made by then, either you will be a Christ Follower and enter Heaven, or the alternative of being barred from God and spending eternity in the real place called hell.
