“For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can be compared with it.”
James 1:5 says “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all
without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
In Proverbs we read how valuable wisdom is, and that there is nothing else that we could
possibly desire that compares with it.
In James we read that if we ask God for wisdom He will give us wisdom.
What possible reason do we have for doing foolish things or making poor decisions? It must be
that at times we think we are as smart as God, or even worse, we act like we are our own god.
With the value of wisdom, and the availability of wisdom from God, we should seek God
continuously when we have decisions to make. When we ask God, He gives generously without
ridicule or finding fault with us. Let’s try living God’s way.
