Watch My Spoken Words

Proverbs 12:18
“Reckless words pierce like a sword,
But the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

I need to watch my tongue so that sarcasm and hurting words do not come from my mouth. I continually pray and ask the Spirit to guide and control my thoughts, words and actions, but I need to follow His leading and pay attention. Even sarcastic humour hurts someone, so should be
eliminated. Sarcasm and hurting words do not bring Glory to Jesus. If I speak words that hurt another person, those words are hurting Jesus also. When sarcastic comments are made to someone, that person may even laugh, but inwardly they are being scarred and hurt. That is not the way Jesus has called me to live.
