Seek God During Good And Bad Times

2 Chronicles 14-16:
Asa began his reign as king serving God and living in obedience.
Near the end of his life, Asa sought the help of another king and territory when his country was under strife and attack, instead of calling on God as he had done earlier.
When God’s servant came and confronted Asa on this matter, Asa was upset and put the messenger in prison.
Later in life when disease came upon Asa, he did not call upon God at all.

Care needs to be taken as we go through life that we don’t rely on our own strength and decisions. If all is going well, it is because God is watching over us and directing what happens.
We need to continually seek God and His ways. It is so easy for confidence in self to set in that we think we can do all things on our own and make proper decisions.
It is God’s desire to be involved in every aspect of our life.
If we stray and act on our own, we need to pay attention if a servant of God comes alongside and gives correction. God sends these people in love for our good.
Pride will try to block our listening to anyone else, but we need to be aware and overcome it.
We need to remember to call out to God in every circumstance, and for every situation.

God’s Blessings
