Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise–the fruit of lips that confess his name.
16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
God, our Heavenly Father, is worthy of all praise and He loves when we praise Him. We praise Him during worship services in church and other spiritual gatherings for who He is.
We give God praise during our quiet times with Him for who He is, and for how He guides us through life.
We give God praise when we are with fellow Christ Followers and sharing what He is doing in our lives.
How about when we are involved in other activities such as work, school, recreation, do we really offer God a sacrifice of praise by confessing God’s Name? A sacrifice is laying something down for a cause, or to worship. Are we willing to lay down our lives–what others may think of us–for who He is and what He has done when we are with non-believers?
This Scripture also states to do good and share with others, because that is also a sacrifice and pleases God. During these days it does not take too much looking around to find someone to share something with or to do a good and kind deed for a person in need. These are ways of offering praise to our Heavenly Father also, and pleasing Him.
The Word says to “continually” offer to God a sacrifice of praise, and as we can see, there are a number of ways to do this. God Bless.
