Never Give In Nor Give Up

Have you ever been in a situation, serving the Lord, and then wonder why you are there, what the reason is, because no results are seen? Probably most of us who have been involved in ministry of any kind, for a period of time, have experienced that feeling when we are honest with ourselves.
We totally believe the Lord has called us, and the Holy Spirit has directed us, yet we wonder what is really going on, if we actually heard right. Perhaps there have even been times when you felt like giving up, or maybe you did give up for a time.
I believe these few words are for all of us. Wherever we are, as followers and disciples of Jesus Christ, we are ministering, planned by us or not.
At all times we are to be prepared to share our faith and Who our hope is in.

Peter 3:15 The Message
Through thick and thin, keep your hearts at attention, in adoration before Christ, your Master. Be ready to speak up and tell anyone who asks why you’re living the way you are, and always with the utmost courtesy.

Also, wherever we are, whatever we may be doing, we are Christ’s ambassadors. We are the representative of Jesus Christ to each person we meet. So, even when we think nothing is happening, we are still taking the Presence of Jesus to that location and letting people know that God has not forgotten about them.

2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Remember, ministry goes on where God’s people are. We represent Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will continue to minister after we are gone, but we are able and blessed to be a small part of the ministry.

Again, never give up, nor allow discouragement to take over. We represent the King of kings, and His Spirit is our Strength, whether ministering one to one, in a group, on the street, or open air preaching. God’s Blessings.
