LOVING OTHERS

LOVING OTHERS

Deut. 10
:12 God asks me to:
fear the Lord my God (reverential trust in God that includes commitment to His revealed will, {Word})

walk in all His ways

love Him

serve the Lord my God with all my heart, and with all my soul

observe the Lord’s commands and decrees

:17-18
The Lord my God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the Great God, mighty and awesome, Who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.

He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing.

:19
And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt.

This passage shows what my relationship with God is to be, as well as my relationship and position in society.

First I need to fear and love God with my entire being. Nothing can be allowed to interfere with that. I need to know His Word and to act in accordance with His Word.

God loves all persons, and Jesus died for all persons. I am to show that same love to all. There can be no favouritism or partiality shown

We have a responsibility as Christians to help those who are hurting and suffering. We are God’s representatives here on earth to serve others in Jesus’ Name.

Those who are widows, or single Moms for any reason, are in a vulnerable position, and quite often are hurting, depressed, and unable to provide even the necessities of life for themselves and those in their care.

Children without fathers to guide and nurture them are disadvantaged and often times struggle thru life learning from the bad influences on the streets.

Many people are jobless and homeless for any number of reasons, and seem to be outcasts from society. They are looked down on and neglected by the population in general, and in many cases are treated as 2nd or 3rd class citizens or ignored and scoffed at.

Jesus died for all these people. We are to reach out with the love of Jesus and show mercy, compassion and love.

When we see a need, we can look for opportunities to meet that need.

When there is a place for people to gather and be respected as a creation of God, and not be looked down on due to the circumstance they are in, they will come.

This place will offer protection, peace, fellowship, love of God, understanding, trust, respect.

Needs will be met, physically, emotionally, materially, spiritually.

As the needs of people are met and trust is built, it will be possible to share the love of Jesus.

All will be welcome

All who will receive will be given help

All will be loved.
