The other night I was awakened following a dream that was so real I was sure I was actually living it, and then realized that there must be a purpose for it, so thought I should put it into words.
In this dream, a young man came to me for prayer, although he did not state the nature of the request. While praying, and seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance, the Spirit began to speak through me in a powerful way, giving direction to the young fellow, in response to what he was really seeking.
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the following is what was verbalized.
Whatever is being extended to you, seek the Lord your God and His Perfect will. If a promotion is offered to you, that will make you compromise your faith, it is not the will of the Lord your God, and is not for your best. If the suggestion is made to you, that if you decline this, you will never have another opportunity, or you will no longer be needed, seek the Lord your God for His direction and provision only. Suggest an alternative that is in keeping with your faith, and will be honouring to your God. Remember the days of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego when they declined the offer of royal food and wine, and requested vegetables and water only so they would not be defiled. The guard gave them a 10 day test, and after 10 days they looked healthier and more nourished than the others. When they were called into the presence of the king, it was found that there was no one who could compare in wisdom and understanding to these men of God. The Lord your God will look upon you with favour and blessing when you seek Him and walk in obedience to Him.
When you serve the Lord your God, others will rise up against you, and plan to defeat you through tricks and lies, because there is no other way they will be able to. Let it be said of you as it was of Daniel, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.” In Jesus Name you have the victory as you continue to seek the Lord your God and obey Him.
When the king changed the law so people could worship him only, Daniel continued to worship the Lord his God in the same manner he always did. Because Daniel continued to worship his God, he was found guilty of breaking the law of the king, and thrown into the den of lions. God prevented the lions from feasting on Daniel and in the morning Daniel was alive and well and the king released him. Scripture says that no wound was found on Daniel because he trusted in his God. The king knew that Daniel had been set up, and was thankful that Daniel’s God had saved him At that point the king ordered those who set Daniel up in that way to be thrown into the den of lions, along with their families. Daniel prospered during the remaining reign of the king, and this was all because Daniel was faithful to his God.
As you look to God, and seek His will, and desire to serve Him, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, you will be a witness to the Faithfulness of God, and will live a prosperous life in the eyes of God and man.
When others come against you, stand firm in the Name of Jesus, Who is your Strength. When others demand you to do as they say, and it is against the Lord your God, stand firm in Jesus Name. When all odds seem impossible, stand firm, knowing that Jesus Christ is your Strength, and He is the Rock of your salvation, and He is with you through all things.
When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would not bow to the golden idol the king set up to worship, and continued to worship the Lord their God as always, they were brought before the king and the threat was made to put them into the fiery furnace because of their disobedience to the king. The response the three gave was “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if He does not, we want you to know, O king that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
Let Jesus Christ be glorified in your life in all things. He knows all that is happening, and He is with you through all things. The Spirit of the Resurrection is within you, and He will guide you to speak and act in a way glorifying to Jesus.
God has prepared already, every good work He has planned for you to do, and He is your Strength to see that it is complete. He who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion.
Remember, you are never alone, the Spirit of Jesus is within you, and Jesus said He will never leave you.
